FAQ

Why produce wine in Tanzania?

Cetawico was founded on the belief that viticulture can succeed outside traditional wine regions when the right environmental and technical conditions exist. Central Tanzania offers high-altitude plateaus, wide day–night temperature variation and suitable soils, creating a distinctive context for grape growing.

Cetawico is both. It is a fully structured commercial winery producing 100% natural wines, and at the same time a social enterprise. Economic sustainability and social impact are deeply interconnected: commercial success enables long-term investment in people, skills and community development.

Winemaking is managed following internationally recognized oenological practices, with constant monitoring throughout the production process. From vineyard management to bottling, each stage is subject to technical supervision and quality controls to ensure consistency, safety and reliability for international markets.

Cetawico wines are distributed mainly in East Africa and selected international markets. The company collaborates with distributors and partners who share its commitment to organic production, quality and long-term sustainability.
